Lifestyle newborn portraits focus more on natural interactions and family connections than stiff poses. Every at-home newborn session takes place in your home, preferably in the living room, master bedroom, and baby's nursery. Don't worry if your house is a mess- you just had a baby! All we need for you to do is pull back the blinds and let in as much natural light as possible. Siblings and pets are welcomed!

Although newborn sessions are purposely scheduled to take longer due to breaks, feedings, and diaper changes, it's best to feed your baby right before your session so he's nice and sleepy and content. 

Because of the tight time frame, it's important for us to stay in close contact throughout your pregnancy to help determine when to expect the baby- even though we know how unpredictable that can be! It's ideal for your newborn portraits to be shot about a week after birth.
